The annual Glenwood RSVP 5K is sponsored by Glenwood Retirement Community and hosted by Friends of RSVP.  All the proceeds from the race benefit RSVP of Washington County.

Safety:
We strive to make the course as safe as possible with Marietta City Police controlling traffic at two main intersections of Scammel Street and Second and Third Streets.  A roadblock at front and Scammel keeps the traffic from entering the course and trained volunteers monitor side street road blocks for the duration of the race.  We have a Registered Nurse on the grounds and the Emergency Squad is stationed less than a block away.  One water stop will be provided at the mid point of the race.  A golf cart will follow the last walker and offer assistance along the way to those unable to complete the course.  All course crews have access to two-way radios and communicate trouble with each other and with race headquarters.

Smaller age group divisions with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals... coffee & doughnuts before the race... Smitty's Pizza after the race... heavy long-sleeved t-shirts for pre-registered participants... a fabulous door prize drawing... indoor restrooms... Prizes:
Overall winners, walk and run will receive a beautiful blue fleece stadium blanket.

All participants will be entered in a drawing for an Apple Ipad 2, courtesy of the Friends of RSVP.
